Will Topeka stand up for victims of domestic violence? Not if they can help it. Under the excuse of a budget shortfall this down did the unthinkable. They decriminalized domestic violence and simple assault. The problem is that decriminalization does nothing to help victims.
I just signed a petition that was started at Change.org. Take a look at it and see if you can sign it. You may know a friend who can help. If so, don't spam but please send the url to anyone you feel may have an interest.
We all need to work together on this. If decriminalization happened in Topeka it may not be too much longer until it happens here. Let's stop this disease before it spreads, shall we?
