Dreading a new school year; Jeremiah: 29:11 brings hope

A new school year is an exciting time but it is also filled with uncertainty. How will my child do in school? Will he or she make friends? Can I afford the extracurricular activities that my child wants to be involved in? These questions and more plague the minds of parents.

On Sunday, we are going to be looking at Jeremiah 29:11 and talking about how we can apply it to a new school year or difficult time in our lives. It's one of my favorite scriptures because it reminds us that God has a plan for our lives. His plan is to give us a future filled with hope. Our task is to find a way to claim that promise and make it real in our lives.

Easy? No.
Reassuring? Yes.

I hope that you'll be part of the discussion on Sunday, August 18,2013.
